The Bugaboo Donkey a versatile single-come-double buggy looks set to turn heads
increased storage space and the option to convert from a mono to a side by side duo stroller for parents with two young children or twins.
The greatly increased storage space – an expandable side luggage basket and under-seat basket – allows parents to carry all the goods they may need whilst on the go.
The Bugaboo Donkey can be expanded and downsized again in only three clicks.
In mono configuration the Bugaboo Donkey is 60 cm wide, which is the same width as the Bugaboo Cameleon.
In duo configuration, with only 74 cm it’s the narrowest (luxury) side by side duo stroller.
The Bugaboo Donkey will be available during the Spring of 2011 in the USA, UK, Netherlands and Spain. We expect further roll out in other countries later that year.
The Bugaboo Donkey is the latest addition to Bugaboo’s portfolio which further includes the Bugaboo Frog, the Bugaboo Bee, and the Bugaboo Cameleon.
The Bugaboo Donkey can be used as a single buggy and then when needed converted to a side-by-side double buggy. It can then be transform it from twin buggy to single again, just when you need to. The conversion can all be done in three easy clicks. It’s this easy conversions that allows it to work well for twin parents and for parents with a baby and toddler.
As a single buggy, it’s the same 60cm width as the Bugaboo Cameleon, but it has more storage space – there’s a side luggage basket that expands as well as an under-seat basket. When used as a twin buggy it’s 74cm wide, which compared to most, is narrow for a side-by-side buggy.
As ever Bugaboo promises it’ll offer a smooth ride and be suitable for all terrains, such as snow and sand. We will have stock as soon as its available in the UK.

Thank goodness theres a option for me to buy as having baby number 2 in may 2011 and my daughter will be 17 months old!
Have looked into the icandy apple blossom but too big and heavy so im definately having a bugaboo donkey which will join my bugaboo bee!!

Hi. I too would like to know the pricing structure for the donkey. I am keen to purchase this new model. We have had the cameleon since 2006 for our first daughter. Now we have 2 boys only 14months and 9weeks old. As we have many fabrics and footmuffs/snow tyres and all the other extras - parasols, drinks holder, spf screen. I am interested to see if they can be used on the donkey or would it be totally different sizing?? Thank You

Do you know what the maximum weight/age the bugaboo donkey will take? I bought an icandy peach blossom earlier this year for my 2 year old and newborn, and from the outset it looked a bit of a tight fit for my toddler - and he's not even big for his age. Now I can barely fasten the straps.

Please put me on your mailing list for the Bugaboo donkey- Expecting 1st May and will have a 23 month old- Been trying out the Baby Jogger City Select and although it's a great buggy the Bugaboo looks far sturdier and I prefer the fact that the double extends on the side and still remains slim wheras the Select is slightly- dare I say it "cumbersome!"...

I was also curious to know when the pushchair is in single mode do you have to have the extra shopping basket on the side or could you have it just the width of 1 seat?
