  • Dear Peppermint,

    I bought your first Phil and Ted's Smart buggy a few months before I had my baby and promised I would review it for you - so as promised here are my thoughts! ;

    For a Londoner, this is the perfect newborn to toddler pram/buggy - I bought the peanut attachment so that I could put Mimi in it from birth. It's extremely lightweight, easy to manoeuvre onto buses (the wheels don't stick out onto the walkway on the bus, as do the 3 wheelers) and good value for money. One of the only negatives I have found is that the wheels sound quite rattly and the journey is not quite as smooth as in other prams - but I think this is because the wheels are made of a more lightweight material. The lining of the pram peanut is very spongy and cosy for the baby and easy to clean - the toddler seat is wipe clean which is much easier than most fabric seats(it's made of a lightweight foamy material, which seems comfy)

    The most important thing for me was that I could nip about town, on narrow pathways, and on public transport without hauling a buggy 4x4 around - so I don't really mind about the wheels being a bit noisier. People have stopped me on numerous occasions to ask what brand the pram is - as it is noticably smaller than most other designs and perfect for the baby about town!
    If you are planning on using the pram for lots of heavy shopping, then this is probably too small for you - but you can easily hook a shopping basket over the handles if you are going around the supermarket. I internet shop so I don't mind! Very good value for money.

    Yours sincerely,

    Alexandra
    Mummy to Mimi aged 1 month
