Silvercross is a premium brand which carries alot of weight in the Nursery business. It is one of the biggest pram manufacturers in the industry and is most famous for their time honoured, chariot style pushchairs and uncomprimising quality in their products. The chariot style buggy is miles away from the sleek, modern design of the Surf. Moving away from the traditional style that they are known for, Silvercross are expanding into the world of busy mums and dads who don’t have the space for a full sized prams and need something practical, lightweight and small.

The new Silvercross Surf ticks all 3 of these boxes. Let’s see what makes it stand out from the rest:

The compact single-handed fold is one aspect of this pushchair that we are really impressed with. The Buggy’s folding mechanism is located on the handle bar and easily flips over and compresses neatly into a small, managable chassis which can then be lifted into a car boot. Not only that, but thanks to it’s magnesium alloy frame, the chassis only weighs 7kgs! Considering that a standard toddler stroller averages at around 6kgs in weight, to have a complete travel system that weighs less that 9kgs is completely astounding. The lightweight magnesium alloy chassis provides maximum strength with absoloutely minimal weight. Perfect for the modern parents hectic lifestyle. It also has a fully adjustable and reversible seat unit so baby can face you or away to face the world.

Silvercross Surf's air-sprung suspension

The Silvercross surf also has removable all terrain rear wheels  and the air-sprung suspension means that the ride for the baby and the push, will be smooth whether you are shopping in town, going to parks and even on sandy beaches. This is a feature that we are very excited about and can’t wait to test out when we get our demos!

It is available in 3 colours:  Black, Slate and Linen Grey. Perfect for the Urban environment and will go with any accessories you decide to put with your new buggy.

The Silvercross surf is suitable for newborn babies and comes with an amazing baby nest with a sumptuous fleece fabric for warmth and comfort.  It’s car seat compatible and you can also purchase an optional carrycot for it.
